Ten More Photos Taken At The Right Moment

Every so often, someone snaps a photo at just the right moment. They often catch unexpected moments – sometimes appropriate, sometimes inappropriate, and often hysterical. Other times photographers catch moments just before something happens, or as it happens.

Several months ago, I posted a collection of ten such photos here at The-TrukstoP.com, and it generated a lot of attention. I thought I’d have another shot at it, so here are ten more photos taken at the right moment…

10. Redneck Olympics

Cue heavy rain on the red dirt of the great plains, and all the rednecks come out for their Olympic special event – diving. Either that, or this “pool” is very deep and Bubba here is chasing the escaped pig he was lovin’ on.

9. Classic From Above

This is a classic photo taken at the right moment, and it makes great wallpaper too (click here or on the image for wallpaper size – hi-res version from Wikipedia). The caption reads, “USS Iowa (BB-61) fires a full broadside of nine 16″/50 and six 5″/38 guns during a target exercise near Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, 1 July 1984. Official US Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate Airman J. Alan Elliot”. That, my friends, is what we call bad-ass.

7. Into Your Face

This soccer player is lucky that the ball was there at the right time to stop him from him being kicked in the teeth…

6. Way to go, Romeo

Of course, there’s nothing more impressive to women in this world than a man with damage to his spine.

5. Hole in One!

Back when the first Ten Photos Taken at the Right Moment and Wrong Place / Wrong Time pages were put online, I was contacted by Philipio, who sent me this photo of Phil Mickelson from 2005 flinching in agony. Hole in one, maybe?

4. Basketballs

I think at this point we are supposed to cue the theme for the Harlem Globetrotters.

3. Blessed are the Retarded

No red ring of retardedness needed for this image. (You’d have to see our first page to get that reference). Inside sources claim that Pope John Paul II (RIP) wasn’t flipped out by the bird here; he was actually getting down to the latest Nine Inch Nails track.

This must have been the guy from the earlier photo in rehearsals. Either that, or it’s Johnny Knoxville preparing to begin the HD-DVD riot over at Digg with the rest of his jackasses.
